Privacy

Topnotes is a private perfume journal. We collect what we need to run the product and nothing extra for advertising profiles.

Account

If you create an account, we store your email and authentication data with Supabase (email/password or Google sign-in). We use this to sign you in and recover your account.

Journal data

Entries, shelf lists, wear logs, and notes you save are stored in our database and are not shown to other users. Custom fragrances you add stay on your account.

Marketplace

If you post a marketplace listing or ISO, the details you provide — including the contact method you enter — are visible to other signed-in members. Topnotes does not process payments or shipping for those posts. Close a listing anytime from My posts. We also partner with Mercari for some for-sale finds (labeled Via Mercari); those purchases happen on Mercari, not through Topnotes.

Analytics

The site uses Vercel Analytics for aggregated traffic (pages, referrers, basic device info) and a small set of product-interaction events (for example photo match, journal saves, shelf changes, and sign-in failures). Those events do not include journal text, photos, or advertising profiles.
